Workforce management

Shifts that the clock-ins actually match.

Rosters, overtime rules and multi-site structure sit in the same system as the attendance data, so the schedule and reality are compared automatically instead of at month end by a person with a spreadsheet.

Scheduling

Built for a workforce that runs on shift patterns rather than on calendar invitations.

  • Shift patterns per site

Define the patterns each site runs and assign workers to them. Sites with different rhythms do not have to share a schedule.

  • Branches and departments

Organisational structure is first-class, so a manager sees their own people and a regional head sees theirs, without a separate tenancy per site.

  • Availability

Record who can work when, so a roster is built against reality rather than against a wish.

  • Holiday calendars per site

A regional holiday closes the branch that observes it without generating exceptions at every other branch.

Overtime, before it becomes a surprise

Overtime is a cost decision, and it is much cheaper to make before the hours are worked than after.

  • Overtime rules

Encode the thresholds that apply to your workforce so overtime is calculated consistently rather than argued about.

  • Pre-overtime alerts

Managers are warned as someone approaches an overtime threshold, while there is still time to move the shift.

  • Anomaly review queue

Late starts, missed punches and impossible sequences land in a queue a manager clears, rather than being discovered during payroll.

  • Corrections with an audit trail

Any adjustment records who changed what, from what to what, and why.

Where it connects

  • Attendance

Scheduled shift versus actual clock-in is the comparison the whole system is built around.

  • Leave

Approved leave is reflected in the roster instead of showing up as an unexplained absence.

  • Timesheets

Approved shift hours flow into the timesheet without re-entry.

  • Payroll

On the Business plan, approved hours drive the payroll run and payslips.

Questions

Do I need Attend or Business for shift scheduling?
Shift scheduling is an Attend capability. If your team is purely desk-based, Track covers time tracking but not shifts. A mixed workforce needs Business, which carries both capability sets — the pricing page has a picker that works out the real cost for your mix.
Can different sites run different shift patterns?
Yes. Patterns, holiday calendars and geofences are configured per site.
Does it warn managers about overtime?
Yes — overtime rules generate a pre-overtime alert as a worker approaches the threshold, not a report after the fact.
