Cleaning agencies
Housekeeping staff rotate across client buildings every week — vendor-tagged, no payroll seat.
ContractWorker is a separate entity from Employee in HelloTime. No payroll seat is consumed. No HR onboarding workflow forced. WhatsApp self-onboard, DigiLocker KYC, face enrollment, you're tracking attendance in 4 minutes.

Who this is for
If your workers move between sites and your billing model is per-deployment — not per-employee — this is the entity you've been missing.
Housekeeping staff rotate across client buildings every week — vendor-tagged, no payroll seat.
Guards deploy to dozens of sites with rolling police verification and contract dates to track.
Bench staff move between client deployments — onboard once, deploy anywhere by site tag.
Shift-based contract workers on the floor without burning a payroll seat per worker.
Festival hires, seasonal promoters and weekend staff onboarded in minutes, decommissioned cleanly.
Sub-con crews on every site, attendance proof for the principal employer, zero per-worker license.
How onboarding works
Self-serve mobile-web flow. The worker holds the phone — HR holds the audit trail.
One link per worker, or a bulk-share template for the whole batch. No app install. No HR ticket.
Mobile-web, no download. Captures name, DOB, contact, vendor and intended site assignment.
Verified identity in seconds. Aadhaar number is masked on storage — only the last four digits are kept.
Front, left and right capture against an anti-spoof check. Stored once, matched at every site tablet.
Vendor and site tags applied. The worker now appears in the site's enrolled-faces list automatically.
Worker walks up to the site tablet — face matches, attendance starts. Average end-to-end: 4 minutes. (Face recognition is in early-access pilot.)
Why this is structurally different
That's not a pricing tweak. It's a data-model decision. Employee and ContractWorker are two different entities. Adding a guard does not provision a payroll record, doesn't trigger statutory withholdings, and doesn't sit on a license tier sized for full-time staff.
Payroll-priced HR suites
Every worker = one seat
50 cleaners × ₹500 = ₹25,000 / month
Plus per-module add-ons for face attendance.
HelloTime ContractWorker
Separate entity. No payroll seat consumed.
50 cleaners × ₹199 = ₹9,950 / month
Roughly ₹20,000 / month saved on the same workforce.
Comparison reflects HelloTime list pricing against the typical payroll-priced HR-suite per-seat range for face-attendance + workforce modules. Final pricing on either side depends on plan tier and module mix.
Document expiry tracker
Every ContractWorker carries a document set: police verification certificate, signed contract end-date, ID renewal, training certificates. HelloTime watches the clock and alerts HR before each one expires — configurable lead time, by document type.

Bulk import via Excel
Excel bulk import is available on request during onboarding for batches of 25+ workers. Each row becomes a ContractWorker with vendor, site assignment and document expiry pre-filled — workers still complete their own KYC and face enrollment via the WhatsApp link. Self-serve bulk upload is on the public roadmap.
No. ContractWorker is a separate entity from Employee. You pay only for your Employee seats — contract workforce is included on supported plans without burning a payroll-priced seat per worker.
Employees are wired into payroll, leave policies, statutory deductions and HR onboarding. ContractWorkers are wired into attendance, site assignment, vendor tagging and document-expiry alerts. The two flows never collide and never auto-convert.
The KYC flow is mobile-web. A modern Android phone is needed for face enrollment. For workers without a smartphone the supervisor can enroll on a shared site tablet instead, using the same WhatsApp link.
Police verification certificate, signed contract end-date, government ID renewal, training certificates and any custom document type you add. Alerts go to HR before expiry — configurable lead time.
